Quality Control
“Romcaffè, in order to ensure maximum consistency in the yield of the product, has always turned to the same suppliers. Starting from this, the actual controls executed are 6:
1.
Suppliers of green coffee have been the same for decades. The selected and chosen coffee is placed in bags identified one by one by brand and lot, a guarantee of constant quality over time.
2.
Upon arrival in Italian ports the green coffee is subjected by the authorities to the health checks provided for by law, in addition, for each batch, two more samples are taken.

3.
The first is sent to our premises where it is subjected to an organoleptic test (visual, olfactory and gustatory) to verify compliance with the minimum quality standards accepted by Romcaffè protocols.
4.
The second is sent to a specialized chemical laboratory where the coffee is analyzed to verify compliance with the standard chemical values set by Romcaffè (level of caffeine, degree of humidity, etc.).

5.
Only after the positive feedback of the 3 listed above controls, Romcaffè allows the entry of green coffee into its production plant.
6.
Upon arrival, the raw coffee is stored in the state-of-the-art plant and is roasted to perfection before being packaged and placed on the market.

High Quality Coffee Formula

Romcaffè has been sourcing from the same suppliers of raw materials for decades, which always ensures a constant quality of the coffee over time.
Coffee used is mainly the best Arabica from Guatemala, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, as well as Ethiopia, said to be the birthplace of coffee.
This translates into blends of different qualities, which need to find the right balance of aromas: Arabica is the dominant component, but to reach the real Italian Espresso, there must also be some Robusta coffee, essential to obtain the typical "crema" in the cup.
There are many criteria according to which we select every origin for our blends. The experience we have accumulated over 100 years of activity has taught us to recognize the winning specification, from choosing the right plantation to the harvest from the plant, to the drying mode of the coffee berries.
Romcaffè Quality
"Continuous improvement must be a goal, quality must be a method".
CERTIFICATION OF COMPANY QUALITY SYSTEMS UNI EN ISO 9001:2015
is an activity by which an accredited certifying body verifies compliance from the management of the activities of a company to rules of procedure established at international level. The quality system certification is issued only to companies that demonstrate that they have implemented a business management system, which guarantees the ability to produce products according to the requests and expectations of customers.
WHY DID ROMCAFFÉ DECIDE TO OBTAIN UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFICATION?
Because only the certainty of keeping under control all the elements that affect the quality of the final product can guarantee customer satisfaction.
CERTIFICATION OF ORGANIC COFFEE
Organic means product without polluting, in full compliance with the rhythm of the seasons and the rotation of the land, subject to the control of appropriate certification bodies. In this regard, we also talk about the "traceability" of organic food, that is, the ability to reconstruct and follow the cultivation, processing and use of an agri-food product through documented identification.
